Goodbye to Gypsy!

Last Friday, we took Gypsy back to the Animal Shelter. All the kittens have been adopted, and the whole foster-adventure is over.

Here is our very last picture of Gypsy:

I’m still working on adding Griffin’s and Pooka’s pictures to the growing video. Hopefully it will be up soon!

Okay, weeks after all the kittens have been adopted, I've finally completed their slide show!

Bye Bye Kittens!

Okay, due to having been sick for the past week, I haven’t updated at all. Which I’m sure you all noticed. However, yesterday, Griffin and Pooka were taken back to the Animal Shelter. And (as I couldn’t go, being sick and all) I heard that Dragon, Lorelei, and Phoenix were all adopted!

And here are Griffin and Pooka’s last daily pictures:

 Griffin, 66 days old

Pooka, 62 days old

(Videos coming soon!)

Also, extra pictures that I never got to post!

We still have Gypsy, the momma, with us. And we’re pleased to notice that she’s steadily been gaining weight. Next Thursday, we’ll take Gypsy back, and this foster-adventure will finally, sadly, come to an end.

And Then There Were Two

We took Dragon, Phoenix, and Lorelei back to the shelter today.

Wait, we forgot our bags!

A few of the volunteers that were there oooh’d and awww’d over them, and they are adorable and friendly, so I know they’ll get adopted soon.

So now we just have Pooka and Griffin at home.

Oh, yeah, they look sweet. What you don’t see is that as soon as I took the picture, Pooka turned around to bite Griffin on the nose.

We decided to keep Griffin an extra week too because he has the sneezes, and we wanted it to clear up before we took him back.

It feels a little odd to go downstairs and not be greeted by a swarm of kittens trying to trip me up while I feed them. But hey, now it might be easier to clean out their litter boxes.

EDIT: Know all those daily pictures I take? Well, here's what I've done with Dragon's, Lorelei's, and Phoenix's:

Attack!

In the past couple weeks, the kittens have gotten quite rambunctious. I once came into the room and Dragon’s back was arched and his ears were flat back, and Gypsy was hissing and growling at him like my cat does just before she attacks the strays that live—lived, rather—in our neighborhood.

Naturally, with the kittens getting a little rebellious and obnoxious to their momma, Gypsy, like any good mom, must discipline them. This is hilarious to watch.

After a sound thumping from mom, the kittens sit still, staring up all alert, like their promising they’ve been good, really, and they don’t know why that just happened. Then they turn and pounce on a sibling’s tail.

Of course, they don’t just like attacking each other. For some odd reason, my fuzzy, colorful slippers are one of their favorite toys. It’s adorable to watch, and annoying since they usually try this when I’m walking. I just had to take a video of the most common offender, Pooka. Because it’s hilarious.
